Summary of Experience:
Ted joined Equal in May 2008 to provide strategic policy, human resource management services, as well as training and development and facilitation services. Ted's primary area of expertise lies in strategic policy research, development and analysis. He has had long experience at senior levels of government in providing strategic advice on policy formulation and legislative development, primarily in the field of industrial relations. He has a thorough knowledge of the legislative process from policy formulation though Parliamentary processes to enactment. He has also been particularly active in the development of policy with respect to flexible working arrangements, work-life balance, pay equity and mature age employment strategies. Ted has played a key role in the development and progress of the implementation programs which follow the establishment of policy and/or legislation.
Ted has also had wide experience at all levels within the Education system in Western Australia and engaged in Departmental working groups as well as participating, as a SSTU Executive member, in Department- Union working parties and negotiations.
He has been a guest speaker at a number of public seminars and conferences on work relations and has produced a range of publications and public documents including reports which have been submitted to State and federal Government.
Ted has also considerable experience chairing and in participating in numerous working parties with the object of resolving critical issues often between competing interest groups.
Ted has also been engaged at senior levels in setting strategic organisational and management direction. He has broad experience in the recruitment and selection of employees and in contributing to the development of HR policies and practices.
