Summary of Experience:

Andrea joined Equal in late 2000 to provide a range of services in relation to policy development, workplace relations and strategic management.

Since 1988 Andrea has worked in a policy development environment. She has overseen policy initiatives and set policy direction in several key areas such as food regulation, workplace relations, international treaties, mutual recognition, the environment and small business.

The development of policy, inter-governmental agreements, reports and legislation by Andrea over these years has led to the establishment of strategic policy directions. Many of the outcomes Andrea has achieved have culminated in reports and submissions for the Western Australian Government. In particular she has produced a range of publications and public documents including a mutual recognition report, which has been tabled in the Western Australian Parliament.

Andrea has the ability to negotiate and resolve competing interests between relevant players to develop a unified position. These skills have been developed in the workplace relations arena and strengthened through her vast experience in Commonwealth/State relations. Andrea also experience in the selection and recruitment of employees, the development and drafting of workplace agreements, facilitating organisational change, strategic planning and the preparation of HR policies and practices.
